Mini-Review: Shrine Luminor

 

Here's something a bit different - a large piece of plastic by Games Workshop. Terrain. It's the Shrine Luminor.

Heyhey, last time I referenced my past as a Beasts of Chaos player. Which is a good occasion to show the current state of my collection of Beastmen.

Showcase: Gotrek and Felix

It's me it's me! It's Si-gu-r....ee. Today I'd like to show you some rather prominent figures of the Warhammer world - it's Gotrek Gurnisson and his pal Felix Jaeger.

Showcase: Skaven Assassins

Another one from late last year which slipped into this year. It's a bunch of lovely Skaven Assassins for Mordheim (I still tend to type Mortheim, because for the German version they changed the name as "Mord" is "Murder" in German and that would have been a bit too much on the nose).

You'll notice that in this picture you can see two incarnations of Master Assassin Snikch. I like both to be honest. I tried to reflect the differences in style in the paintjob too, with a slightly dirtier look to classic Snikch and a more flashy, high-contrast kind of black and overall look on new Snikch. Made me think of Terry Pratchett's  musings on the black on assassins' cloaks and such.

Another thing: I never really painted Skaven before this project. Maybe the odd ratman here and there, but never a full army or even warband, so that was cool.

Showcase: Mordheim Skaven Assassins

As the title says! It's a whole lot of Skaven Assassins (and a flag bearer) for a Mordheim Skaven warband! You can see two incarnations of Snikch, at the centre and the far left. Very nice minis, all of them. I kept the rusty theme on the blades I use throughout this warband, enhanced by some poison looking stuff. Everything warpstone-related is glowing a bit.
