Here's a bit of an oddity from the Space Marines Legion army list, the Tactical Support Squad (troops choice). They're essentially Dominions. A neat little squad and it's always nice to see comms guys in 40k squads.

Thanks for your feedback on the Riptide survey by the way. I'll see that I can get some more work done on that fella very soon but an emergency commission came in so at least painting on the Riptide might be delayed a bit (yeah, shock horror ;) ).

With the addition of a ton of Heresy-era stuff by Forgeworld of course this army needed some new additions. First, a third Contemptor!

Review: Dark Age Warriors

20th of April of this year saw the release of the much anticipated Dark Age Warriors set from Gripping Beast and on the very day I was at Salute. Getting two boxes of these models was the first thing on my to-do list there.

For the past few months I got the impression that ever since this box had been announced a huge number of historical wargamers put their Dark Ages/medieval projects on halt until this Box to End all Boxes would be released.

Salute 2013

Last weekend I took a trip to London to attend the much fabled Salute, the UK's biggest wargaming show. The South London Warlords organize this annual one-day convention and it proves to be a huge success with ever-increasing numbers of visitors and exhibitors. Naturally, it is rather UK-centric in the way which companies have booths at the venue (with a few notable exceptions such as Freebooter Miniatures) but then you have to ask yourself where wargaming is not very much UK dominated in general.
