Showcase: Star Wars MHD-17 Medical Droid

Another model from FFG's Imperial Assault game's Return to Hoth expansion set. It's MHD-17, a 'local medic' and he looks creepy as heck. Well, I guess one shouldn't be too superficial when it comes to medical personnel. All I'm saying is that back in my day it was all about catgirl nurses and we liked it that way!

Showcase: Star Wars General Sorin

Here's General Sorin, master tactician. I really like the plain look on Imperial officers, so I kept the colours to a minimum again, with just a few red details.

Hope you like him!

Showcase: Star Wars HK Droids

Today I would like to present you with four HK Droids for FFG's Star Wars - Imperial Assault board game. They're very cool designs with a vicious look to them. Or maybe it just seems like that to me because of the universally beloved HK-47 unit.

Fun models on which I deliberately went for a very straightforward look to emphasize their robotic look.

Review: 15mm Panzer IV by Plastic Soldier Company

Heyhey, today I would like to have a look at Plastic Soldier Company's 15mm  Panzer IV set. Five plastic tanks, four different marks to put together, pretty much an essential to anybody playing  WW2 Germans post-1942. Before we dive into this fine piece of cardboard though...

Showcase: Star Wars Scum, Stormtroopers & Wookies

In other news, here are some Star Wars minis I painted recently. Four Hired Guns, a bunch more Stormtroopers and four Wookie Warriors

They're for the Star Wars: Imperial Assault boardgame by Fantasy Flight Games and I've been painting a LOT of these over the past half year or so. And now excuse me please, I have to paint princess Leia. ;)

WIP: Vulkan, Salamanders Primarch

Yup, still going on with those Salamanders. Here's their Primarch in WIP form. :)

Not sure if I can say all that much about the model at this point. I mean the picture says it all: It's a cool sculpt, it comes in the usual format of "40mm round base cleverly worked into a large display base" (in this case it's just glued together to a big display base). Not quite sure yet how I exactly solve the challenge of the big dragon skull on his shoulder armour, but I've got some ideas. Of course I'd love to hear what you would do with it.
