Showcase: Blood Angels Sternguard

More Blood Angels, this time Sternguard! I really like how the laurels and the red armour contrast on these. If you look closely you can see the light OSL around the eye lenses and the dust on the lower ends of the tabards and on the "feet". Hope you like them!

Showcase: Blood Angels Sanguinary Guard

I worked on a whole new commission project. After quite a while I'm back to painting Blood Angels! It's great to return to these fellows. For now it's mostly veterans and Elites and such so I started with the Sanguinary Guard which I had never painted before. Very cool miniatures.

Rounding off the Blood Angels -guard triad, here is a squad of Blood Angels Vanguard! Never painted Vanguard before. I like how they'er a little less gaudy than Sternguard, basically Assault marines with some additional adornments. Good stuff and I hope that you like them!

Showcase: Blood Angels Storm Raven

This model was actually finished around New Year's but I haven't had a chance to take pictures until now, that I got a new photo setup for larger models.

Showcase: Blood Angels Assault Marines

I'm not one to boast but I'm really happy with how these BAs turned out. I took some chances with the colour scheme in that I used quite a few stark colours and a much brighter red than usual but I think that it worked out really well. With the Assault Marines, it was pretty much a given. It's just astounding how well the old BA scheme works. Bright red armour (I'm a 2nd edition guy, dark red BA never really worked for me), yellow helmets, beautiful. They're all third company so the sompany sign is that white drop (not really helping if you want to get vibrant, colourful BA).

What's your opinions on Blood Angels in general? :)

Showcase: Blood Angels Furioso Dreadnought

Another piece from the commissioned Blood Angels army I'm currently working on. Again, really enjoyable to paint, especially as it's not exactly overladen with "chapter-specific detail". Okay, there's more of that than on the Assault Marines which were a real joy in that regard but I think it's just right on this guy. For additional contrast I painted the lenses green and the close combat weapons blue.

As you surely noticed, these Assault Marines lack jump packs so they cleverly bring a Rhino along to get into the thick of it before getting shot up!

First Predator Destructor finished! This commissioned project which I will post over the next few days is a bunch of Blood Angels vehicles, mostly Predators but also a Vindicator and a Storm Raven!
