Showcase:15mm WW2 Field Fortifications

Here are some nice WW2 field fortifications with a slight urban theme by Baueda Wargames. I painted these straight out of the box (well, I cleaned them). These are all one-piece resin casts. Three large ones (which can be paired up for larger all-around ruins and one smaller one. These are sized to fit Flames of War bases (of course), but they work equally well for single-based 15mm figures. I can't help but think that the sandbags look a tad large, but that's no real issue.

I tried to go for realistic looking mortar between the bricks for the first time using white putty. Painting those actually was rather fast, and was equally fun playing around with weathering, all kindsa of dust looks and so on.

For a very short review: These are good and Baueda got a pretty nice variety on fortifications and such. Well worth checking out.

P.S.: This is the preview of a whole bunch of posts about a WW2 Normandy 1944 project, so stay tuned!

Review: Terminator Genisys Heavy Weapon Endoskeletons

Terminator review

Remember how there was a Terminator film last year? The reason why this film is remembered all the way to this day is because River Horse (Alessio Cavatore's game design company), with Warlord's backing, made a miniatures game based on that license. Human resistance fighters fighting it out with machines.

Heyhey, it's me again, with a review of another very recent release by Rubicon Models - it's the M8 'Greyhound' armoured car kit from which you can also build a M20 Utility Car. Originally designed to be a tank hunter, it became the US army's main recon AFV during World War 2.
