Show Report: Austrian Salute 2026

 

Heyhey, it's been a while since the last update. The reason being that I was busy finishing stuff! I'm back now, and here's my annual show report of Austrian Salute.

Austrian Salute 2025!

 

Heyhey, just a quick heads-up: I'll be at Austrian Salute again this year on the 22nd of March. They're at a new venue now which is said to be really neat. So even more of a reason to look forward to this event.

Always a pleasure, and despite the thing being a smaller event, the quality and selection of games more than makes up for it. I also just dig the atmosphere; it's always a great get-together. For further information on the event or if you have questions, check out this forum thread.

November shows!

Heyhey, just a quick announcement about the shows I'll attend in November: Saturday, 16th November I'll be at Yella Yella in Vienna at a unique event taking place for the first time at which the organizers invite kids and parents to be introduced to the miracles of role-playing games, tabletop miniature games and figure painting. The latter will be my job.

The weekend thereafter (23rd, 24th) I'll be at both days of Vienna Comic Con again, along with my close personal friends Claudia Christian and Michael Winslow. Just kidding: They're proper famous people, I'm just me. But you can drop by and we paint a little figure!

Show Report: A1 eSports Festival / Spielefest 2024

 

Bunch of weeks ago I was asked to participate at the tabletop wargaming portion of Austria eSports Festival / Spielefest at Vienna International Centre. So the 2024 springtime shows circuit got a bit bigger than usual and ran until June 15th and 16th.

Saturday, June 3rd, finally had us all gather for Austrian Salute again, after a 3 years hiatus. The day before I packed up lots of paints, paintbrushes, showcase figures, figures to deliver to some people I would meet there, the glass cabinet and all the other stuff and drove off to Oberndorf in Salzburg.

The past weekend I attended the Tabletop Knights' Gaming Day 2023. After 3 years I returned to lovely Marktl in Bavaria.

Show Report: 1. Tabletop Gameday Sigmundsherberg

 

Aaaye, it's been a while since we've done one of those, right? The simple reason being that I hadn't been at any shows in more than two and a half years due to the Covid.

At some point though it was time to dust off the wargaming show stuff and get back out there, and what better occasion than 1. Tabletop Gameday Sigmundsherberg.

GoModelling2020 cancelled

Due to general measures to combat the spread of COVID-19/Corona virus larger gatherings of people have been called off. Which means that Go Modelling 2020 is cancelled. I suppose we'll have to wait for next year then to meet at Vienna Army Museum!

Chat: Spring Shows 2020!

Just a quick note on the shows I'll attend in the near future: this weekend (14th/15th March) I'll be at GoModelling2020 at Vienna Army Museum. Last year was a great experience with loads of visitors and many, many eager painting participants.

I'll showcase miniatures, I'll have the painting workshop with me and some figures for you to paint and take home with you. So drop by if you're in the area!

The Saturday (21st March) thereafter I'll be at Austrian Salute at Gasthaus Leobendorf, doing the same. Always a great event.

At the end of April (25th April) I'll be at Tabletop Knights' Gaming Day again in Marktl, Germany.

Show Report: VIVAT 2019!

Where were you on Saturday, 12th October? I once more packed up all the things and paid illustrious Perchtoldsdorf a visit for VIVAT 2019.

VIVAT 2019!

A quick reminder that VIVAT, Austria's historical wargames show, will take place again this Saturday (12th October)!

There'll be war games tables featuring Warlord's Black Seas, battles of the Austro-Prussian War, WW2 Naval, Bolt Action in the Spanish civil war, Saga, and more. S-Games' sales booth will be present as well as me, with the usual painting workshop setup, showcase pieces, and so on. Looking forward to see you there!
